The Weekly No. 31

Scripture Reading: Psalm, 6,8-10, 14, 16, 19, 21, 43-45, 49, 84-85, 87; 1Chronicles 1-2

 We see a number of different psalms this week.  Some written by David, some from the sons of Korah.  And different types:  praise psalms, laments, and some categorized as “Penitential Psalms” – for someone under great sorrow for their sin, they’re in the process of repenting, typically under-going discipline for their sin and they're appealing to God for His mercy and forgiveness. (Suffering under God’s discipline)

Mercy vs Grace

• Grace is getting something that you don’t deserve.
• Mercy is not getting what you do deserve.
